| Following an incident packed first leg Chris took over the car from Co driver Eric Zwart in 27th position. Immediatley Chris started to claw back through the field making up Ten places in the 13 laps availiable before the flag, finishing an impressive 17th in the second round of the championship.

| Chris post's an exceptional seventh fastest time overall against an established field of 47 Cars.

| Chris finished his leg of the opening round in tenth place. Despite intense pressure from established and seasond GT campaigners Dymond firmly announced his arrival through his stint in the car. Co driver Eric Zwart suffered a mechanicle failure that prevenbted in him from completing the second leg. Regardless the Ascari still managed to take the Manufacturers trophy as the highest placed manufacturer overall.

| The 2008 season for Chris will be contested with team Berlanga as co pilot in the awesome ASCARI KZ!-R. With 12 Rounds over six countries including Dubai, the season promises to be one of the most challeging yet.

| A major initiative in Lewisham aiming at uniting youth and racial harmony was supported by Chris when three hundred youth groups attended a charity Kart event on Friday. Chris was invited to support the event by the event Sponsor. The event was agreed to be a great success with many groups enjoying the sporting challenge and working together.

| A total of 5 podiums 3 championship podiums and regular top 5 finish's saw Chris secure a solid 8th Place in his first year of the Championship. With Three ex Champions and four long term campaigners ahead of him Chris feels that next season could see some big changes.

| A mechanical gremlin was finally laid to rest at Thruxton allowing Chris to fly back to form with a P5 and P6 finish in the second only double header meeting of the year. The return to normal allowed Chris to rocket back up the standings to finish the season P8 overall in his first year of the championship. Chris also takes the rookie of the year with the highest place debutant to the series. two breath taking rounds saw Chris rise above many around him and show true proffesionalsim and maturity to become the highest place Robertshaw driver of the meeting.

| A fantastic charge from the start led to a superb three lap dual with Fildes for P7. Both drivers showed real talent and maturity under extreme pressure . Chris eventually heading Fildes with a perfectly timed manuvre on the final lap.

As fantastic testimony to his skill and team preparation Dymond qualified 4th behind past champion Paul Rivett just four days after a testing incident totally destroyed his car.
A major impact testing at Thruxton saw the Podium taking car almost totally destroyed leaving just four days for the Robertshaw team to re shell,rebuild and set up the car for testing on the following Friday. With just 45 minutes to shack down and run in new gearbox components the car behaved perfectly. A true testiment to the skill of the Robertshaw Racing Team.

| The entire Dymond Motorsport and Robertshaw racing crew are on the continent this week end. Chris at the 24hr du Mans and he Robertshaw crew competing at the Spa Chris is providing comment and interview during the course of the weekend at the invitation of the Radio Le Mans broadcast team.

| The Renaultsport web site now hosts video footage of the Rockingham round of the championship at which Chris took his maiden Championship Podium.

| Challenging for P2 in the opening laps of the critical qualification 8 lap sprint race at Croft this afternoon. Disater struck.on lap 3 , when new brake pads 'grabbed' locking up the front wheels momentarily.. A bold attempt was made to power through the gravel trap, however the car sucumbed and ended up stranded thus ending the teams weekend.

| The Producers of ITV1 Motrosport UK, featuring the Brands Hatch round Championship have received confirmed viewing figures of 500,000 for the first showing. Producers announced they were delighted with the news saying that it simply proved the popularity of the series.

| Euiped with a full set of new tyres and despite a minor mechanicle malfunction Chris was able to record a solid P4 in todays official practice. Placing Chris on row 2 of the grid Qualification remains critical for race prospects with another capacity grid of 39 cars. Race 1 due this PM at 17.35 will see a cooler track temperatures and provide the oppourtunity to re set the alignment to accomodate the reduction in grip expected.

| Dymond set an impressive series of laps during Friday testing at Croft. The circuit bathed in bright sunshine and a light breeze presented near perfect conditions. A revised set up and engine ECU mapping allowed Chris to press home a solid series of laps at the head of the field , with the final official position being third, just two tenths of a second from pole

| The additional test day at Croft proves invaluable at yet another first time circuit for Chris . The opportunity was taken to put in lap after lap to understand this highly technical circuit. At the end of the day and with the addition of new tyre advantage prediction Chris feels confident that he can continue his top ten finishing average.

| The final official timed test finished with Chris Dymond taking third fastest time in the afternonn session. Dymond set a stunning pace for the entire day holding P2 until literally the last minute, conceding second place by just 1/10 of a second.

| Renault Motorsport today announce that the final pre season test shall be held at Rockingham Motor speedway on Monday 26th March. This test replaces the aborted Brands Hatch Test.
